Golf courses in the area of Prague for the tour in 2012:

:: Golf Resort Karlstejn

About 45 minutes from the centre of Prague

This course hosted the European PGA Golf Tour during 1997 and the Czech Open on numerous occasions. There are 18 challenging holes with wide but tricky greens along with several ponds and a hilly profile, making the course very memorable for all golfers. Located within 45 minutes of Prague in the beautiful Czech countryside, the magnificent Karlstejn castle provides a spectacular backdrop. The newly built clubhouse has superb facilities for both golfers and non-golfers. The golf course is one of the leading courses not only in the area of Prague, but around the Czech Republic as well.

:: Golf Resort Konopiste

About 45 minutes by car from the centre of Prague

This excellent golf resort, which opened the first 18 holes in 2002, is located only 40 km southeast of Prague. Konopiste offers 2 high standard 18 hole courses (Radecky and D´Este). Players of all standards will enjoy the course setting which, cut sympathetically into the rolling forest and hillside, has some inventive features. Alongside this, there is also a 9 hole public course as well as good practice facilities. The refurbished Manor House provides conference rooms and an excellent hotel to meet all your needs. The golf resort is a unique golf complex, which you shouldn’t miss in the Prague area.

:: Golf Resort Beroun

About 30 minutes by car from the centre of Prague

This resort opened in May 2009 offers services both for golfers and non-golfers. The golf course is beautifully nested in a lightly hilly environment surrounded by nature such as mixed forests, lakes, ponds and solitary trees. The course was designed by famous Canadian golf architect Les Furber and features 18 championship holes with dominant strategic design so the course is ideal for golfers of all levels ranging from beginners to professionals. Each hole is original and the course offers many breathtaking views from the top of the hill on the Beroun town and valley vicinity. There is accommodation in nine double rooms (2 luxury with outdoor patio Jacuzzi), wellness centre, fitness and outdoor swimming pool are also available.

:: Albatross Golf Resort

About 25 minutes by car from the centre of Prague

The course spreads over an area of about eighty hectares and is built on the owner’s land, on a very moderately hilly terrain. The resort lies near the village of Vysoky Ujezd in the vicinity of Prague, on the very border of the Bohemian Kras at 420 metres above sea level. Thanks to a favourable climate, the outdoor golf season here may in fact be one of the longest in Central Europe! The 72-par course has greens from 459 to 812 square metres, depending on the overall approach and difficulty of the particular hole. The total area of the greens is 11 677 square metres including fore-greens. The holes have up to five teeing areas totalling 12 500 square metres. The fairways cover 16.58 hectares and the bunkers total to 10 400 square metres.

:: Prague City GC

About 20 minutes by car from the centre of Prague

Opened in 2009 and co-designed by Alex Cejka as the first 18-hole golf course within the Prague city limits. Conceived as a Championship course it has the ambitions of hosting high-level professional tournaments but still playable for recreational golfers. The front "Links Nine" and the back "Lakes Nine" present a dual personality of challenging playing conditions accented with red sand waste bunkers providing remarkable visual contrasts. The clubhouse and restaurant area stems from a very sensitive reconstruction of a 200-year-old horse stable.
